Turning off replies means you shouldn't be on social media - narcissist behavior. Instead, write a book or a screenplay because social media is not for you. I block anyone that shows up in my feed with this selection. If I can't interact with you, I don't want to see anything you have to say.

My favorite feature of Bluesky is that a blocked person's comment disappears. Quotes with negative comments are separated from your post.

This should influence the visibility of the posts. No need to show them on the Discover feed if they were only intended for a limited audience.

Folks, please add another setting: pending approval for replies. If I like it, it gets shown. If I don't, nobody else ever sees it. Trolls and bots feed on exposure from replies. Let us starve them
I got harassed and doxxed by none other than a trans group of all things cause I didn’t agree. They got insanely hostile. It’s weird cause I told them I was standing up for them. Next thing you know they posted my name and where I live and it took about a week before the harassment stopped.

You need to add the ability to remove yourself from a list. These are being used to harass some users.
Filtering out all those that disagree with you and will never know the other side so as to keep radical views intact.

I block all accounts that limit replies. Honestly, that's all I'm pretty much here to do (react to stuff). So weather I agree with or even like the post, I still don't want to see anything with limited comments on my discover feed. TL;DR you should let us mute posts we're unable to respond to

I have seen this primarily on "christian" posts where they argue a point in the bible, then turn off any comments. An indicator of a lack of substance in the post.

Suggest that people who choose to only allow replies from followers, should never have their posts "promoted" to people who aren't following them. One-way communication is antithetical to social media, and this setting in combination with random promotion is one-way communication.

Never understood the logic of a "prevent social interactions" button on a social platform. That's just a blog with extra steps. 90% I see it used to prevent people from calling out bad info. At least let us mute such posts. Otherwise is like being able to save images but not videos... oh wait

I have no problem if people limit replies on a post but I'd prefer to not see that post on my feeds because they are essentially ending the conversation anyway and it is no longer relevant.

once Bluesky can crack the implementation of locked accounts or 'circles' of users to only see what we specify, I think Bluesky might have security and agency handled better than any other social media website!
Why can't Bluesky limit the recipients of a post to those who are allowed to comment on it? I don't want to see a post I can't comment on, and up to now, my policy is to unfollow and/or block anyone who chooses to limit posts. I consider those who post them to be arrogant and pretentious.

This is probably the worst feature of Buesky. It allows users to censor people they disagree with, even if what they're saying is the truth.
Add an option so new “sunrise” accounts can’t reply. Or fix the spam problem. The only reason I have my posts limited to followed/followers is because if I don’t, spammers will bomb them. As it is, many replies to others still get that.
