I don't think the point should be understated: this is the discontinuation of Bumble as a product. It is as complete an exit from the dating app market as if they had ceased to sell the app or maintain their servers for it and announced that the company was being wound up.
i've been under the impression that AI has been making the essential misery of online dating even worse behind the scenes for years now so i guess it is nice of them to bring it out into the light and confirm it

Well, computer aided dating services have existed since the 1960's. In one way it seems fair to get dating suggestions on matching interests, opinions and lifestyle rather than only going by looks. Or in the case of many men, hitting on everything that breathes and hoping for the best.

Wasn’t the whole point of Bumble was that it allowed women to initiate contact so they can have the final say on who they meet online? Sacrificing that power to AI made by freakish incels seems like a step backward
