Really disgusted at Pirate Software for supporting the killing of games, but I don't see the point of this. It's also just giving him more engagement. Better to just ignore the guy if you don't like him.

Its a miracle that these videos are even so long. Judging by the rest of the videos on Qs account it seems that this is a regular pattern. Find drama, milk drama, move on to next drama.

This has severe anti-woke videoslop energy, it feels exactly the same way those kinds of creators do their thumbnails.
I dont think it's about the content being meaningful or fulfilling. I guess you could see this as unagreeable work, that people do in hopes of profit and to make a living and stuff.

I really thought this kind of obsessive parasocial mob stuff was going out of style. But I watched one (1) video about the Stop Killing Games petition and now YouTube is shoving videos of random devs I've never heard of analyzing his code for fraudulence???

i genuinely think PirateSoftware did nothing wrong, he laid out his opinion and said what he felt. Yes, that wasn't aligned with the general sentiment around SKG, but all this hate and attack, puts them in a negative light.
Whenever I see these kind of "this person sucks" videos nowadays, I have to go check for myself because takedown videos are so exagerated and milked that I straight up don't trust them anymore. I've seen so many false accusations and blown up situations that it gets tiring.
I've added so many channels to my "do not recommend" list over this this last week and a half.
I swear that half of Youtube is content like this now and I genuinely question how people get entertainment from watching it. On the bright side it's cut down my awful procrastination habits.

I'm glad you feel fulfilled about you work man, but most humans on earth don't have that luxury. Most of us have a boring job and are just trying to survive. "His work is profitable but not fulfilling" is extremely relatable to most of us.
I’m learning to turn away from this sort of content the second I see it! I want it to become a reflex for me to ignore all of this type of ‘work’ completely as it has no positive impact on anyone or anything and is done for profit & views. Those who do this will get none of my time or my respect.
Yeah i noticed this too, for a lot of these people the only thing they care about regarding the SKG movement is using pirate software's takes to make money for them. I don't think its a hot take to say that this sort of behavior negatively impacted all sides of the movement and. . .

Economy is in the shitter and a lot of people are struggling. They're making a living. Most of us don't get to work in meaningful or fulfilling jobs. As far as work goes, it's quite sustainable. Drama abounds.

I mean, people did similar things with anita sarkeesian, brie larson, amber heard and more recently mr beast. Basically any time theres a cultural crusade against a public figure weather its a justified crusade or not youll see obsessive repetitive slop posting like this.
It's funny how these videos just spawned a whole new genre of YouTube channels that counter slop and productivity-friendly.

The exact same thing with the Mr beast drama. Ever since Dogpack404 made that video everyone started copying him. The most infamous copycat was Pegasus. This I why I hate drama YouTube, and I hate how they all enable each other.

When the internet deems you a viable target, dramatubers will go all out, because enough people feel like they have to take someone down. It's crusade culture. It was bad enough with lolcows in the 2000s. It has only gotten worse after becoming monetizeable.
That's the neat part, it's not supposed to be. As long as the people behind these channels can claim their pay check they don't care about it being unfulfilling. Ofc it doesn't change the fact that these kinds of vids are absolutely moronic, but sadly they have been around for ages by now.
