The year is 2025. I right click on an AI-generated comment on my YouTube video to delete it, only the "Remove" button has been shifted down to make way for a button that generates video ideas based on the AI-generated comment. This is hell.

✨ Welcome to the future, everything is auto-generated by computers, you will no longer have to think, we will present you with stolen soulless regurgitated slop and you are required to enjoy it ✨

I always report them when I see them but idk if it does anything

Wait, didn't Google say they're concerned that YouTube is already heading for a Dead Internet situation and they intend to stop it?

Byte0_ · Jul 31

Yeah, because the first thing I think when reading a youtube comment is "How can I make a video out of this?"

Kyle J. 🎃 · Jul 30

I wonder when the advertisers are going to finally realize that they are paying to sponsor AI generated videos with comments being made almost exclusively by AI bots and not a single real person is watching any of it.

皆さんは地獄に一気増す、ありがとうAI👹

Thank you so much for the variety of content. Your videos always surprise me with their uniqueness. 🐂🐈🐕 ;P

So this is how I find out GMTK will NOT be making a video about Bull Cat Dog. My dreams are shattered. The AI thingy is awful too.

Google is evil.

Ugh this shit is exhausting

This is dystopian.

This is a kind of interesting move after the recent (overdue) move against low effort AI videos…

You can run any js script you want on your own browser. Get tampermonkey or a similar plugin, find its id and yeet that shit. It's amazing how much one line of code here or there can do to help your friends and family deal with everyday nuisances these companies impose on us.

Props for continuing to persevere and make this nice event in spite of everything!

I got fifty of these comments the other day across various videos. I don't even have 30 subscribers. This shit is going to end up eating itself and taking everything good with it.

Matthew Williams · Jul 30

Every time I see that stupid diamond they use for AI, I get so annoyed.

✧ prisma ✧ · Aug 3

those ai-generated comments are the worst too because the accounts are made to spam so if you click on their accounts you see the featured profiles on their channels, which are promoting 18+ sites. they do it in a loophole way so that the comment get banned, but not their actual ad accounts :/

Andrew Barnick (Lyichir) · Jul 30

This is how I feel about Facebook putting their shitty AI chatbot at the top of my messenger list (a spot that in the past used to be occupied largely by close friends and family). The nerve of these companies not only forcing this shit on us but displacing the actual useful website features.

God, I hate this stupid timeline we live in.

3emad0 · Jul 31

I wonder what it will generate from that comment lol

These companies have made me despise four-pointed stars.

Stuff like this is why I'm glad that CSS-injectors and adblockers exist for hiding/removing web page elements that negatively impact your UX.

This is your OneBrain AI on Windows 10.

They are DESPERATE to get use to use their AI.
