Is that an original gameboy advance or is it a modified gameboy advance with a backlight? If it's retrofitted with a backlight then that's awesome.

Loved Dread. Could it have been better? Sure it could have. But for what it was. I just enjoyed havibg a new side scroll Metroid.

Finished this on a modded Vita a few years ago, a toss up between that and Super Metroid as my favourite one. It's a great playthrough, it doesn't outstay it's welcome.

This is the Metroid game that I think has the most Horror influence worn on its sleeves. This has 2 of my favorite bosses in the franchise.

I'm one of the weirdos that actually doesn't think fusion is that good. It started Metroid's trend of going more linear and being funneled from place to place and it has one of the latest and boss fights ever.

Metroid Prime 4 is a much better game than Dread, IMO. The end boss battle in Dread was a pain in the ass.
Is it uncomfortable for someone with bigger hands? This is like if I took a picture holding a Game Boy Micro.

Been wanting to play through all the games in the franchise ✨as god intended✨, but unless someone can lend me their GBA or Super Nintendo I’m stuck with playing this and others using switch online (which is still a very solid gaming experience to be fair!).
Yeeees. Good choice. It still feels weird that Dread is a direct story sequel to a GBA game. This series has been sleeping for so long

My favourite Metroid game. Survival horror blends so damn well with Metriod.
I personally like Fusion and Zero Mission more than Dread (and I love Dread!), and it isn't because of nostalgia, since I only played the two of them the month before Dread came out.

This game was absolutely a blast to play. Although not on my old school non-backlit GBA. The dark made it hard to play so I used my GameCube game boy player instead lol.

Fusion is rad and Dread is a stellar chaser. If you crave more 2D goodness afterwards, also check out AM2R.
I could never beat that one boss that lost his limbs and bounced around. Rage quitted over the run back every time.

Its a lot more openly linear experience than other metroid games(side stories like federation force and other m aside) but it ratchets up the tension in return
Fusion's great and Dread might be my favorite in the series. Have fun with them both.

I beat Dread when it originally came out and didn't even realize Fusion was that closely connected to it until I played through it for the first time on my Ayn Thor earlier this year. Also did a first time playthrough of Zero Mission right after which I enjoyed even more. Have fun!
This was my first Metroid, and I loved it. It is amazing to me that something small I was holding in my hands actually made me feel some fear during the game. Enjoy your playthrough!
