I have a mini Aussie. Looks just like yours. She can disassemble lamb chop out any stuffed toy. Disembowel to retrieve the squeaker, and carefully remove all threads so professionally that you could reassemble it.

My cat has one favorite toy left from when he was a kitten. He had three but my daughter’s dog ate two. Now he carries one toy around all the time even though has a basket filled with toys 🤦🏼♀️

He/she's so cute! My pup would wait patiently while I performed surgery on his stuffies, like he knew what I was doing. He loved when I was done and he could play again! Miss him

Oh man, that gets me. I used to come home for lunch and sew our terrier mix's torn toys. She would be at playcare, otherwise it wouldn't have happened.
Sometimes it's can be repaired other times it gets retired and new favorite comes to light.
Now that's true pet-parent dedication! 😄🦀🐶 There’s something wonderfully wholesome about spending a Saturday mending a beloved toy. The dog may never know the effort that went into it, but I’m sure that stuffed crab is about to get a very enthusiastic welcome back! ❤️😊

Our boy Sarge had a stuffed moose as a puppy who had to go through repeated trips to the toy hospital where my daughter performed surgeries on a regular basis. If he saw the surgeon working he would try to snatch the moose from her clutches.
😉 that sounds very familiar. Had to buy a complete sewing kit and utensils to fix all the toys. Somehow they noticed as each toy only needed stitches once.
Well, it's Saturday! What else is there to do???
We have done many impromptu surgerys here, so many in fact, we had to buy a supply of rubber honkers for Rocket's duckies, geese, and pheasants.
It has to be done. 🤣

My senior dogs' favorite toy is a squeaky crab , he looks like Dr Zoidberg ( Futurama ) when he holds it in a certain way ! Sadly the camera is never ready to catch it !
