Yep. I can always tell you if the tv is on and black-screened because I can hear it. And I can’t use most dimmable lights because they always make noise, even when “off.”
Oh. Oh. Oh. Ok, in retrospect this explains a lot. (Also can confirm - I've learned to ignore it through the years but it's there. I use high quality plugs and adapters not because I'm a snob but because I've found they tend to be more silent.)

I still remember when I had to politely insist that a teacher turn off a TV that he insisted was off. When he finally pressed the button, it clearly actually turned off and everyone in the class looked at me like I was a mutant. Nah, man, I can just HEAR IT.
I am not, I just have sensitive hearing, and I hear high frequency whines from the power strip's USB charging my phone at night. It's nothing I can't sleep through, but my brain does acknowledge that it's there when it kicks in. It's just cheap electronics usually.
I have to unplug everything at night. I can hear a plugged in phone charger even if nothing is attached to it. My daughter is the same (both autistic).
Yeah, I find it is especially loud with extension leads which makes living in a home built anytime before the last fifteen years or so an absolute nightmare
I've heard of this, but don't hear it myself (deaf autistic). If your power strip isn't a power strip that's beeping a warning, a shack in the woods might be a good idea.
I could tell when my nextdoor neighbour was charging his phone because I would hear the buzzing through the wall.
