What a spectacularly striking and beautiful dog! I’ve only seen the Canarian Podenco, and the related Portuguese Podengo, both wonderful dogs with fantastic characters and qualities, and roots dating back 1000s of years. The latter resembles a bigger dog with tiny legs, so cute and confident.

My daughter rescued a Podenco. Her nails are very sharp. She is a love filled with need to cuddle and belly rubs. Partially blind. Extremely affectionate

MIra's gorgeous. This is Flash. She's a rescue from a northern 1st Nations reserve. Husky, GSD, and probably greyhound or whippet. "Just" a mutt and a very sweet girl. Would not trade her for Best in Show at Westminster.

I'm from Valencia and it's the first time I heard of this dog.
This is, in order : Flare, Wooper, and Gobou. While not that rare, axolotls have smaller numbers than other domesticated animals, with only 1 million of them domestically, and somewhere between 50 and 1000 in the wild. Their ability to regrow limbs is also rare in nature. Wooper is doing that atm
It's really said that galgos and podenco aren't considered pets in the animal welfare rights in Spain. We've had several rescues over the years and it's dire out there for these dogs.

Apparently, this is a rabbit hunting breed in Spain, and they are often cast aside after hunting season. No wonder why they’re rare. Rescue efforts are ongoing in Spain.
