Seals & dogs will bark at each other through a fog. Stood wittness to this over 50yrs ago on a high bluff in Northern California. 1st hubby's dog heard the seals behind the fog just beyond, called them, bounded down of the cliff ASAP & stayed gone for 20min. Heard them both~no translation. ○
My dogs stopped in their tracks to listen.
