why it is still best to never wear anything but an unapproachable unibomber hoodie and sunglasses outfit no matter the weather

My kid just moved from Seattle to Denver. She’s massively bothered by the sunshine and people - gasp - smiling at her.

Saying hello in Seattle is like choosing violence on a sunny day.

Why else did my introverted ass move here?

Checks out. Get him back into the shade, stat!

Yeah. I’m from Virginia and I’m still dumbfounded by how unfriendly the PNW is. I moved here to be with “my people” and when I say “hi” to strangers they give me a “fuck you you crazy person” look every time 😂 Not really my people I guess

The sun is a menace. Was just out on a walk and briefly lifted my head and gave a half-wave to the driver whom I arrogantly troubled to obey the stop sign to allow me to cross the street. Hope I didn’t inconvenience them too much or make them feel too uncomfortable. >.<

What's worse, the man sees this stranger everyday on the evening commute. Their years long unspoken agreement of anonymity now broken.

I'll have what he's having. 😜

I walked into an OnCue convenience store this morning and the first three people I saw said hi and asked me how I was doing. I started wondering if I looked sick or something.
