We had a cocker spaniel when I was a kid. Her zen place gave my parents grey hair but she loved it, escape artist that she was, we could always find her on the same pavement stone. Watching cars go by like a tennis match. Never chased them. It was a heavily trafficed city road, not a quiet street

I was thrilled that our dog Betsy Ross was housebrokened. She was my boyfriend's dog and he never trained her. She started chewing my stuff. One day I worked my 3rd day of 16 hour days. I took my shoes off and she got one and tried to chew it. I snapped and took my shoe on her.
