It's fine, they'll stretch back out after a millennium or two.
Seems fairly simple, we just have to find the valve* & release a little pressure. Not too much, cause then the crust will get all loose & go a bit saggy, just enough to flatten the surface down again. *I think there's one in the Mariana Trench?

I briefly had an inversion (I think in combo with skimming the first part of the caption - "Nasa accidentally ..." where I was looking at the grey areas as land masses, and white as Oceans, and was really having trouble figuring out if the continents were inversed, or we were looking at South Pole.
The UK was in deep enough depression without making it literal...

I really want to know how this would work out ....so we get a grid ocean and mountains far above the atmosphere , then a tiny inhabitable zone along all the shores. Geology couldn't support it for long , the tectonics would be something else.

Don't panic! Hints from Helioese says you can fix it by soaking them in a slightly warming ocean for half an hour -- preferably with some hair conditioner or baby shampoo -- then squeeze them out and roll them in a really REALLY large towel and stretch them out by hand to air-dry.
