Didn't they already do that with Inspector Clouseau?
Complex Oscillator · Jun 27
I'd read/watch that.

I can picture this as a bumbling CIA comedy film like the 1980 “Hopscotch.”

Sort of happen in the animated series? It was the Mob killing Clark instead of the CIA. Journalist was getting nosy! Story was about how he can justify 'surviving' the attack and if he would have to pretend Clark 'died'. Mobsters was very confused when he showed up 'alive'. Ending is <3

Superman would definitely be a target for his journalistic ethics.
Ashles · Jun 27
Would resemble that Pink Panther film where all the world's top assassins can't kill Clouseau. And I am totally here for that.

The Unknown Soldier, having killed everyone from Che to Bobby Kennedy to Al-Mahdawi, sobs over a Scoth as his fifth attempt on Kent leads to failure.

Was Fidel a Kryptonian?

But was he a really good journalist or just a very fast typist

This was done, but not as a comedy. Superman: Secret Identity is the comic, a four issue limited series. Kurt Busiek was the writer, and he’s known for having written some amazing stuff, including a comic called Astro City. Consider checking them both out! 🌞

But in the end the hair loss thing they tried on Castro actually works on him and he gets really insecure, quits the superhero gig and ends up working for some trashy tabloid, not answering Lois' calls.

"All-Star Superman" has a nice bit where clumsy Clark keeps bumping into people on the street to push them out of the way of oncoming cars, falling equipment, etc.

The KGB keeps pushing him out of windows and wondering how he survives.

Reminds me of the time Supes was body doubling for Bruce Wayne, an assassin tries to use super poison on him on him, but it just makes Supes drunk for basically the first time. It's where we get the wonderful "Sard Borken" meme I also remember something about supes casually eating a sniper's bullet?
