I can picture this as a bumbling CIA comedy film like the 1980 “Hopscotch.”
Sort of happen in the animated series? It was the Mob killing Clark instead of the CIA. Journalist was getting nosy! Story was about how he can justify 'surviving' the attack and if he would have to pretend Clark 'died'. Mobsters was very confused when he showed up 'alive'. Ending is <3
Superman would definitely be a target for his journalistic ethics.

This was done, but not as a comedy. Superman: Secret Identity is the comic, a four issue limited series. Kurt Busiek was the writer, and he’s known for having written some amazing stuff, including a comic called Astro City. Consider checking them both out! 🌞
